Amit Patkar, the President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), has sent a second reminder to Goa Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar. He urged the Speaker to expedite the hearing of a pending disqualification petition against eight MLAs. These MLAs had defected from the Congress to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in September 2022.
In his second reminder letter to the Speaker, Amit Patkar has stated that if prompt action is not taken, they will be forced to approach the court.
