Gokuldas Adel, 69, from Bansai, succumbed to severe head injuries after being struck by a scooter near Ambedkar Circle while walking home from the GSUDA market. The scooter, ridden by a youth from Kakumoddi-Xeldem, collided with Adel late Saturday evening. He was first taken to Kakoda Community Health Centre, then to the district hospital in Margao, and finally to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, where he passed away during treatment.
