In a chilling case of obsession turned fatal, Sheldon Rodrigues, a resident of Goa, has been found guilty of murdering Stephanie Hansen in Hayes, west London, in December 2022.

Rodrigues, driven by a seven-year obsession with Hansen, resorted to heinous acts after she rejected his advances. His obsessive behavior included using hidden recording devices to monitor her activities and eavesdropping on her dates.

Upon discovering she had a partner, Rodrigues brutally attacked Hansen, inflicting nearly 60 injuries. Despite denying the murder and attempting to shift suspicion to her boyfriend, Rodrigues’ long-standing obsession was unveiled through messages dating back to 2015.

The court also learned of his disturbing offer to undergo surgery to change his appearance. Rodrigues callously left Hansen’s body unattended for 24 hours before finally alerting emergency services.
