The Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) has suspended seven drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol. These drivers were found intoxicated while on duty, posing significant risks to the safety of passengers and other road users.
KTC Chairman Ulhas Tuenkar stated, “We have received several complaints from citizens and passengers of KTC buses regarding incidents where drivers were found to be drunk. After conducting inquiries, we have initiated action against those found intoxicated while on duty.” The corporation is taking stringent measures to ensure passenger safety and uphold standards of professional conduct.
