Newly recruited constable Rajat Adpaikar has been suspended by SP South Goa Sunita Sawant for allegedly assaulting Traffic ASI Vivek Phadte at Banastarim. The incident occurred when Phadte stopped Adpaikar for multiple violations, including riding without a helmet and lane cutting. While issuing a challan, Adpaikar allegedly assaulted the ASI. The situation escalated when Adpaikar’s family, who were passing by in a car, also reportedly joined the assault. A suspension order has been issued pending further investigation.
