During the drive, approximately 3,000 tenants underwent verification. The process included ensuring landlords had completed proper police verification, checking for illegal activities in rented premises, and verifying the antecedents of tenants to prevent residency by anti-social elements from other states. About 100 individuals were found without proper tenant verification, leading to reports against landlords being forwarded to Deputy Collectors for necessary legal action. Over the last fortnight, numerous similar drives have been conducted by North District Police Station Staff, resulting in the verification of over 5,000 tenants, with around 500 found lacking proper documents. Legal proceedings are ongoing.
