Vasco Police have determined that robbery was not the motive behind the murder of Gayatri Marathe at Pixem Dongri in Kharewaddo. An autopsy revealed that she died from strangulation and subsequent slitting of the throat.

Despite wearing gold ornaments, which remained untouched, and with all belongings and money intact, police have ruled out robbery. The room and cupboards were not ransacked, indicating no signs of robbery. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify any potential suspects.
